Islamic Relief upgrades with Sage HR &
Payroll
February 2009
Islamic Relief, the international relief and
development charity, has upgraded its HR software from Sage HR
& Payroll, to improve information management of 2000 employees
across 38 countries. It is also set to roll out Sage’s online
recruitment module.
Usama Bastawy, HR Manager for Islamic Relief, comments: "We chose
to upgrade with Sage because we felt the new features could really
impact HR processes in a number of areas. We have always had good
experiences with Sage, in particular through its helpdesk, who are
always professional and friendly and quick
to respond to our queries."
Islamic Relief will be upgrading its recruitment; personnel;
training & development; performance management and self-service
modules from the Sage software suite, SnowdropKCS. A link will also
be set up between SnowdropKCS Personnel and Islamic Relief’s time
& attendance system. This is geared towards improving absence
management through regular absence updates into the personnel
module.
In the upgraded software, online appraisals have been updated to
make it easier to combine assessments, personal development plans
and appraisals and look at year-on-year individual progression.
This will help Islamic Relief to promote manager buy-in to the
appraisal process and increase compliance with staff
reviews.
The online recruitment module will also assist the HR team in
saving time, through easy publishing of vacancy details to its
website. Online recruitment also ensures simple capture of
applicant details that are fed directly into the windows
recruitment system " freeing up HR resource.
Overall, Islamic Relief hopes to further smooth process management
to allow a better focus on core HR activities.
