The individual payroll preview feature helps HMV on a day-to-day
basis, by allowing them to run a full payroll for one person at any
time. The Payslip History module is also very useful and
straightforward, allowing quick search and access to all payslips
that the system has ever generated. In a busy payroll department
that has to manage typically high retail turnover, this has proved
invaluable.
The payroll ‘Dataloader’ allows the payroll team to load any
information from spreadsheet files quickly and easily – again
something that is invaluable in a busy payroll department. As Sage
regularly adds useful enhancements, the scope of the system is
always improving for HMV.
Reports
The reporting and output of the system enables HMV to produce a
variety of different reports without technical Znowledge, so that
the team can write their own reports without asking IT or having to
depend on Sage. So they have all the information they need as soon
as they need it.
Support Services
Sage also provides excellent support services, especially
through its helpdesk. Each member of the helpdesk has in-depth
payroll knowledge, as well as system expertise, so that issues are
resolved quickly.
